Most top shells break on the latch area that opens the Lid/Screen to see the mechanical parts. It is recommended to replace this shell if broken since this may cause the LID/Screen to open unexpectedly and damage the screen and/or let things get into the mechanical mechanism or main board damaging it further. Installation included.
